About the Job
ICI Metals, Inc. is seeking a Steel & Aluminum Buyer for a high-impact role at our Strongsville, OH location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing all carbon alloy, stainless, and aluminum product lines by analyzing previous shipment data, customer and corporateforecasts, and current stock levels.
- Managing inventory.
- Handling pricing, negotiation, and supplier performance.
- Reporting and communicating across teams.
- Driving process and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of purchasing or inventory management experience in a metals service center or distribution environment.
- Working knowledge of steel and aluminum products, mill lead times, and metals pricing.
- Proven ability to forecast, plan ahead, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a record of on-time, accurate execution.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Travel: Minimal (less than 10%)
